Intermittent Wiper Function Recovery:

Step 1: Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.

Step 2: Move the wiper lever down to the "INT" position.

Step 3: Turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position.

Step 4: Wait 5 seconds.

Step 5: Turn the ignition switch back to the "ON" position.

Step 6: The intermittent wiper function should now be restored.

Wiper Blade Replacement:

Materials:

 New wiper blades
 Soft cloth

Instructions:

Step 1: Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield.

Step 2: Pinch the release tab on the wiper blade.

Step 3: Slide the old wiper blade off the arm.

Step 4: Slide the new wiper blade onto the arm until it clicks into place.

Step 5: Lower the wiper arm back onto the windshield.

Step 6: Repeat Steps 1-5 for the other wiper blade.

Wiper Motor Replacement:

Tools:

 Socket wrench
 10mm socket
 Phillips screwdriver

Instructions:

Step 1: Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

Step 2: Remove the cowl panel under the windshield.

Step 3: Locate the wiper motor and disconnect the electrical connector.

Step 4: Remove the three bolts holding the wiper motor in place.

Step 5: Lift the wiper motor out of the vehicle.

Step 6: Transfer the wiper linkage from the old motor to the new motor.

Step 7: Install the new wiper motor into the vehicle and tighten the bolts.

Step 8: Reconnect the electrical connector.

Step 9: Install the cowl panel.

Step 10: Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

Wiper Transmission Replacement:

Tools:

 Socket wrench
 10mm socket
 Phillips screwdriver

Instructions:

Step 1: Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

Step 2: Remove the cowl panel under the windshield.

Step 3: Locate the wiper transmission and disconnect the electrical connector.

Step 4: Remove the four bolts holding the wiper transmission in place.

Step 5: Lift the wiper transmission out of the vehicle.

Step 6: Transfer the wiper linkage from the old transmission to the new transmission.

Step 7: Install the new wiper transmission into the vehicle and tighten the bolts.

Step 8: Reconnect the electrical connector.

Step 9: Install the cowl panel.

Step 10: Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

Troubleshooting Common Wiper Issues:

Problem: Wiper blades chatter or skip.

Solution: Replace the wiper blades.

Problem: Wipers not moving.

Solution: Check the wiper motor, transmission, and fuses.

Problem: Wipers moving slowly or intermittently.

Solution: Check the wiper motor, transmission, and battery.

Problem: Wiper blades streaking the windshield.
